View original recipe on cookpad.comIn a large pot boil 4-5 peeled potatoes. Boil until soft in consistency. Remove from stove top and transfer to mixing bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and parsley. Mash potatoes until smooth in consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 375*. In a large skillet brown ground beef. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
In the skillet add the remaining butter. Add in onion, and carrots. Once butter is melted add in flour. Stir until a paste has formed. Slowly whisk in beef (or vegetable) stock slowly. Add in seasonings and let simmer for 5 minutes. Until thickened in consistency. Add in frozen peas and ground beef. Let simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
Transfer mixture to a medium sized baking dish. Let cool for 10-15 minutes.
Once mixture has cooled top with mashed potatoes mixture. Cover the top completely before transferring to the oven. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until the top turns to a golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
