My grandma always made this, when I was growing up I know it as Creamy Hamburger Gravy (is an old-school meal. ) and sometime she called it S.O.S. She tend to make this at the end of the weeks before my grandpa got his paycheck. I make this from time to time. She never showed me how to make it or anything I just remembered watching her make it. As a kid it was one of my favorites not really sure why. I tend to make this when I miss my grandparents. I only have one kid who likes it, but he eats about anything. So this recipe is dedicated to my grandparents....

Add in butter let it melt then Add flour and stir your making a making a roux. Should be like a paste at this point add in the milk, salt and pepper, stir occasionally until it’s bubbling and the thickness you want. Sever over toast.
Note: this is the exact same recipe I use for sausage gravy. Instead of ground beef, I substitute with hot, ground breakfast sausage.
