ok I am from England and well it really is important which you put on first - Even the last Queen had her own choice lol - this quick and simple recipe is so easy and can do with the kids. ENJOY:P
View original recipe on cookpad.comPre heat oven to 200c and line a baking sheet with baking paper and a quick spray of oil.
Add all the dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix to combine. Add the Butter and then using your finger tips rub the butter into the flour as quickly as possible until you get something looks like breadcrums.
Add the milk and combine with a fork so mixture comes together. Turn out onto a floured surface and bring mixture together quickly with your hands - do not over work the dough. Pat it down into a disk around 4cm high.
Use a 2 inch round cutter to cut out and place onto the baking try. Bring Scraps back together pat down again and cut more. You should get 7- 8 pcs.
Brush with the beaten egg and bake for 10-15 mins until golden brown. Allow to cool then serve with clotted cream (see recipe) and strewberry jam. ENOY:P
