I really miss my grandmas cooking and baking and making he recipes is my way to immortalize her 💔 Here is one favorite pastry she used to make and taught me how to make it. Perfect cheese boekos that are so easy to make and you can also freeze and reheat ASAP.
View original recipe on cookpad.comMix the dough ingredients together until you have a dough.
Divide the dough into four pieces. Cover each piece of dough with plastic wrap and lightly crush it into a pita shape and put it in the refrigerator for 4 hours or night in the fridge.
Mix all the filling ingredients together and put aside.
Take the circles of dough out of the refrigerator and roll them into a circle the size of a pita.
Use a pizza cutter to slice each circle into 8 triangles just like you cut a pizza. In the thick part of each triangle put a spoonful of filling and roll like a croissant towards the center of the circle.
Brush the pastries with eggyolk and spread sesame seeds and bake at 350F until tan.
You can now freeze the pastries in a zip loc bag (while still hot) or eat them right away! I like to eat them with hard boiled egg. Enjoy:)
