This single-crust peach pie recipe features juicy peach slices heaped over a nutmeg-butter crumble in a pastry shell, and topped with more crumble.

Cream sugar and butter together. Add flour and nutmeg; mix until crumbly. Spread 1/2 of the mixture in pie crust. Arrange peaches on top of crumb mixture. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 of crumb mixture on top of peaches.
Bake for ten minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Continue baking until golden brown, about 40 minutes..
